Net Optics Provides Complete End-To-End Performance and Monitoring Solutions for the InteropNet
Net Optics Director Again Selected by the InteropNet to Enable 100 Percent Network Visibility and Improved Performance at Interop Las Vegas 2010
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – April 19, 2010 – Net Optics ®, Inc., the global leader of intelligent network access solutions, today announced that the Director™ multi-function data access appliance has been chosen as the network access solution for the InteropNet for the second consecutive year. The InteropNet is deployed during Interop Las Vegas - the world's largest and most comprehensive independent IT event. Net Optics provided InteropNet architects with the Director appliance to enable smart filtering of traffic and improved network visibility, allowing the architects to easily deploy and optimize use of multiple tools across the network.
For 2010, the InteropNet's border network and critical management systems are being hosted at remote data centers. The InteropNet provides a reliable, high-speed network for exhibitors, conference rooms and attendees, enabling built-in collaboration with hand-selected vendors and volunteers who come together to take on the ultimate networking challenge. The InteropNet also offers the opportunity to showcase cutting-edge technologies in a live environment. Net Optics was chosen as a vendor because of its reputation and commitment to end-user satisfaction, as well for its comprehensive IT resources and the efficiencies provided by its products. Net Optics Director was chosen based on its ability to connect any Gigabit or 10 Gigabit network feed to any monitoring tool, aggregate multiple feeds down to a single pair, relieve oversubscribed tools through filtering, reduce the overall footprint of the InteropNet's monitoring access solution, and provide remote visibility and control. The reliability and stability of Director allows for continual capture of critical traffic flow information for presentation to the management platform. Additionally, Director is a complete end-to-end solution that enables both edge and core network monitoring.
With Director, the InteropNet operations personnel have an intelligent, efficient methodology for gathering and disseminating network information. Director enables copies of traffic from any critical link in the production network to be routed under remote software control to any tool in the network operations center (NOC), including state-of-the-art protocol analyzers, forensic recorders and VoIP analyzers. Director also enables the NOC team to view 100 percent of InteropNet traffic and gather detailed forensic data regarding the health of the network.
