Where Port Aggregators combine both directions of traffic on a single full-duplex link, Link Aggregators combine the traffic from multiple links into a single data stream.

When it comes to multiple links, the 10G/1G Link Aggregator sets a new high-water mark, combining as many as ten 10 Gigabit or 1 Gigabit links into a single monitoring traffic stream. The traffic is regenerated to four monitor ports so four tools or groups can monitor the same information simultaneously. All of the network and monitor ports use modular SFP+ connectors, so 10 Gigabit and 1 Gigabit links and tools can be mixed in any desired configuration
